PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Mr Hibbs is an Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Management consultant with 22 years experience. He established a practice in his own name in 1994, providing specialist environmental testing services. Prior to this he was a partner at a large national SHE consulting firm, where he held the position of NSW Director for a period of five years. He set up the NSW Division of the company and ran its operation for eight years. Prior to this he was employed by the Health Commission of Victoria in their Occupational Health Division to provide advice on hazards related to asbestos, dusts and chemicals.

Mr Hibbs' principal areas of expertise include the evaluation and control of hazards associated with asbestos, hazardous building materials, hazardous substances, chemicals and dusts, height safety, confined spaces and indoor air quality. He has also developed and conducted occupational health & safety reviews and environmental assessments for a wide variety of workplaces and industries.

He has been providing Risk Management services to the construction and manufacturing industries since the early 1980's. His consulting assignments have included the investigation and assessment of hazardous substances, hazardous building materials, asbestos contamination in soil, height safety, confined spaces, and Preliminary and Detailed Environmental Investigations.

He has also provided occupational hygiene services to the asbestos abatement industry surveying buildings, conducting risk assessments and co-ordinating abatement and management programmes since the early 1980's, and has extensive experience in the identification and management of hazardous building materials.

Mr Hibbs has acted as an OH&S Technical Specialist to Standards Australia – Quality Assurances Services, and he assisted with the development of the Certified Competent Laboratory Programme for laboratories conducting asbestos fibre air monitoring and asbestos sample identification.

Mr Robert Gale is an Analytical Chemist with over 20 years experience in the manufacturing & production environment. A strong background in chemistry has enabled him to contribute in a broad range of production and manufacturing disciplines including regulatory affairs, QA, OHS, Dangerous Goods licensing & Risk Assessments.

While holding the position of Manufacturing & Operations Manager for Metrotex Australia he designed and commissioned the manufacturing plant that produces undercoat paint, gap sealants and various other trade paint consumables, the facility also filled and packaged large volumes of flammable solvents.

As the Analytical Services Manager for Selleys Chemical Company, he developed and implemented the OHS monitoring programme for the factory and developed the in-house capability to test for organic vapours and nuisance dusts. He was also responsible for calculating the loadings for stack emissions and water effluent and liaison with the respective authorities for discharge licenses. Mr Gale has also conducted contaminated site investigations for the Selleys sites.

Mr Robert Gale is experienced in conducting occupational hygiene assessments over a broad range of commercial, industrial and manufacturing industries. Mr Gale's area of expertise includes airborne contaminant assessment for the evaluation of exposure to personnel at risk, plant safety risk assessment, environmental hygiene (e.g. lead dust contamination), and Indoor Air Quality assessment involving the use of real time detectors and ultra trace analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds in air. Since joining Hibbs & Associates Pty Ltd, he has conducted OHS services for major clients such as Sarah Lee, Stegbar, Historic Houses Trust of NSW, UWS and Energy Australia.

DAN LE VAN

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Mr Le Van is an Occupational Hygiene consultant with over 20 years industrial experience. Prior to joining the team at Hibbs & Associates Pty Ltd, Mr Le Van was an Occupational Hygiene Consultant with SHE Pacific Pty Ltd [a wholly owned division of Orica Australia Pty Ltd, (formerly ICI Australia Pty Ltd)]. He was also the Site Hygienist for the largest Australian chemical complex at Botany NSW and provided specialised occupational hygiene consultancy to the 8 production plants on site, as well as other national Orica sites.

Mr Le Van is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) with the American Board of Industrial Hygiene, a Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH) and Full Member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (MAIOH). Dan's principal areas of expertise include workplace hazardous substances (hazard identification, risk assessment and controls), design and implementation of dust, vapours and fume monitoring programmes. Dan's experience includes sampling and measuring a wide variety of chemical and physical agents to assess employee exposure, investigation and quantitative assessment of Indoor Air Quality problems, noise survey and dosimetry, heat stress assessment, MSDS preparation and review, etc.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Mr Fisher has been providing consulting services in the fields of occupational health and safety since 1987 and more recently environmental management. He has a background in mechanical engineering and has had considerable experience in the assessment and remediation of hazardous materials, in conducting health and safety reviews and environmental assessments, and presenting training courses on hazardous material risk assessment and management. Technical areas of expertise include site auditing, documentation preparation, contractor management, engineering control measures, training and industrial relations.

Mr Fisher has carried out many hazardous materials audits of a diverse range of commercial, industrial and retail properties and has acted as Project Manager or Superintendent on a number of multi-million dollar hazardous material removal and remediation projects.

For the past 5 years Mr Smith has carried out many building surveys / inspections of a diverse range of commercial, industrial, retail and residential properties. He has also been involved with site contamination investigation, environmental waste classification, asbestos validation programs, supervision of asbestos removal programs and asbestos site clearances.

Mr Smith has acquired considerable consulting experience in the fields of assessment and remediation of hazardous materials, building construction, risk analysis, environmental management, occupational and asbestos fibre air monitoring. Mr Smith has worked in the capacity of Hazardous Materials Consultant with accumulated expertise in preparation of technical specifications, document preparation and remediation of hazardous building materials.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Ms Bannatyne has a background in Conservation Biology and is also a qualified carpenter with over ten years experience in the construction industry.

Ms Bannatyne's research experience includes field work, laboratory analysis and report preparation for a variety of projects in NSW and QLD, with a focus on population dynamics and landscape fragmentation. Her work experience has involved field and laboratory work for the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the Sydney University Institute for Wildlife Research, building inspections and risk management planning for a variety of properties including government and heritage listed buildings, schools and hospitals.

Since joining Hibbs & Associates Pty Ltd, Ms Bannatyne has gained experience in conducting hazardous materials surveys in a broad range of commercial, industrial and residential areas, consultation and supervision of friable asbestos removal works, environmental investigations and a range of occupational hygiene monitoring, analysis and assessment.

Major projects Ms Bannatyne has been significantly involved with whilst working with Hibbs & Associates Pty Ltd include; hazardous materials surveys and risk assessment of Coles stores nationally and occupational hygiene work aboard coal fired steam and heavy fuel oil bulk carrier ships in north Queensland.

Ms Bannatyne has acquired considerable consulting experience in the fields of occupational hygiene, hazardous material assessment, risk analysis and analytical techniques relating to the identification and monitoring of asbestos.

TIM WN

SENIOR CONSULTANT, INDOOR AIR QUALITY & ENVIRONMENTAL

QUALIFICATIONS:

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Tin has had exposure to many aspects of occupational health and safety as well as environmental projects throughout his career. With a depth of experience in all aspects of hazardous materials projects, Tin has specialised in hazardous material building surveys including those for lead, hazardous materials removal and abatement projects including those for asbestos and air quality monitoring during hazardous removal projects. He is also involved in site contamination assessments and environmental audits including due diligence pre purchase property audits and building environment audits.

He has been working for various environmental companies since 1987 as a hazardous materials consultant. Tin worked for Environmental Risk Management Australia since April 1999 where he is mostly involved in indoor air quality assessment with technologically advanced monitoring equipment and measuring instruments as well as including hygiene inspections of air conditioning plant and equipment in buildings.

Since joining Hibbs & Associates in September 2006 Tin has been involved with indoor air quality assessments and asbestos surveying and remediation.

GREG BROOKS

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Mr Brooks has over twenty years experience in both residential and commercial projects within the construction industry. The range of work includes Heritage listed residences, contemporary housing, construction in alpine environments, public schools, and multi storey commercial buildings.

During this period Mr Brooks worked as a building supervisor, designer/draftsman, foreman and project manager.

Further to his building experience Mr Brooks also spent nine years as a Laboratory Technician for Graincorp Pty Ltd, sampling and analyzing grain products prior to export. Ongoing training with Graincorp included, OH & S courses, First Aid, Track awareness courses and Risk Management.

As a Hazardous Material Consultant at Hibbs and Associates, Mr Brooks has undertaken numerous residential, commercial, and industrial building surveys. He has also been involved in a number of environmental assessments.

ROBERT BITTAR

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Robert Bittar is an Environmental Chemist with over 14 years experience in production, laboratory and sales. With a strong technical background he was able to fit into a variety of roles such as Laboratory Technician, Colour Chemist and Quality Control Analyst. Over time Robert diverted his career path to the sales industry developing a partnership in Computer Sales and selling Electricity contracts for Integral Energy.

While working for Johnson & Matthey as a Quality Control Analyst, he was able to develop commission and train staff for a new Barium flame method using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. He also implemented QC procedures for the analysis of Platinum Group metals using X-Ray Flouremetry.

As a QC Chemist with Vertikote Powder Coating he was given the responsibility in Managing and maintaining the waste water treatment area, liaising with Sydney Water on a weekly basis. He also helped in the development of a new Cold Dip Galvanising plant, working with senior chemists from Dulux.

Since joining Hibbs & Associates Pty Ltd, he has commenced conducting surveys of commercial, residential and industrial facilities for a range of hazardous building materials including asbestos, SMF, lead-based paints and PCB's. His strong sales and technical background will no doubt be valuable assets to his current role as an Environmental and Hazardous Materials Consultant when interfacing with clients.

JOHN BUTLER

QUALITY SYSTEMS MANAGER

QUALIFICATIONS:

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Prior to joining the team at Hibbs & Associates Pty Ltd, Mr Butler was the National Quality Control Chemist for a large multinational Construction Chemicals Company. Testing a diverse range of products: admixtures for concrete, cementitious floor toppings, polymer products/adhesives, cementitious/polymer self levelling compounds, shotcrete & specialty grouts for the Construction Industry.

Mr Butler has also been employed by: Oil companies, Rubber Industry & a Printed Circuit Board Manufacturer.

Mr Butler's duties as Laboratory Technical Officer involve testing and calibration of field and laboratory equipment, internal auditing, instrument repairs, technical assistance and analysis of samples using both stereo and phase contrast microscopy.

RICHARD DOWNES

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Mr Downes has over thirty years experience in the construction industry primarily in residential and civil works. He has also worked in specialised areas such as multi-media office and theatre fit-out. Technical areas of expertise include document preparation and revision, contractor management, environmental management of construction sites, quality assurance procedures, industrial relations and Project Management.

Mr. Downes has been involved in a number of projects for clients such as local Councils, the Salvation Army Property Department and the NSW Department of Housing. These projects have required specialised applications of the Building Code of Australia in matters such as safety in glazing, fire escapes, hygiene in food preparation areas and building ventilation. He has also been involved in the preparation of energy audits and dilapidation reports for institutional and private buildings.

Mr. Downes' main focus in construction for the last decade has been the replacement of less with more healthy building products and processes, particularly in residential building.

Since joining Hibbs and Associates Pty Ltd, Richard has been involved in asbestos assessments and remediation, including major assessments for Comalco Aluminium Ltd – Weipa, Tomago Aluminium and BHP Billiton colliery sites in the Illawarra region. Mr Downes is also trained in confined space monitoring and has conducted monitoring for several confined space entries.

Prior to joining Hibbs & Associates Pty Ltd in February, 2007, he ran his own bookkeeping business for six years with a variety of clients, including an insurance company, solicitor, computer business and some Church work.

Mr Baxter is committed to providing accurate, timely recording and reporting of the operations of the business, and ensuring that the administrative support required by the operational staff is first class.
