DIRECTOR OCCUPATIONAL HYGIENIST QUALIFICATIONS: PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS: PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Mr Hibbs' principal areas of expertise include the evaluation and control of hazards associated with asbestos, hazardous building materials, hazardous substances, chemicals and dusts, height safety, confined spaces and indoor air quality. He has also developed and conducted occupational health & safety reviews and environmental assessments for a wide variety of workplaces and industries. He has been providing Risk Management services to the construction and manufacturing industries since the early 1980's. His consulting assignments have included the investigation and assessment of hazardous substances, hazardous building materials, asbestos contamination in soil, height safety, confined spaces, and Preliminary and Detailed Environmental Investigations. He has also provided occupational hygiene services to the asbestos abatement industry surveying buildings, conducting risk assessments and co-ordinating abatement and management programmes since the early 1980's, and has extensive experience in the identification and management of hazardous building materials. Mr Hibbs has acted as an OH&S Technical Specialist to Standards Australia Quality Assurances Services, and he assisted with the development of the Certified Competent Laboratory Programme for laboratories conducting asbestos fibre air monitoring and asbestos sample identification. |

OPERATIONS MANAGER - SENIOR OHS CONSULTANT QUALIFICATIONS: PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS: PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: While holding the position of Manufacturing & Operations Manager for Metrotex Australia he designed and commissioned the manufacturing plant that produces undercoat paint, gap sealants and various other trade paint consumables, the facility also filled and packaged large volumes of flammable solvents. As the Analytical Services Manager for Selleys Chemical Company, he developed and implemented the OHS monitoring programme for the factory and developed the in-house capability to test for organic vapours and nuisance dusts. He was also responsible for calculating the loadings for stack emissions and water effluent and liaison with the respective authorities for discharge licenses. Mr Gale has also conducted contaminated site investigations for the Selleys sites. Mr Robert Gale is experienced in conducting occupational hygiene assessments over a broad range of commercial, industrial and manufacturing industries. Mr Gale's area of expertise includes airborne contaminant assessment for the evaluation of exposure to personnel at risk, plant safety risk assessment, environmental hygiene (e.g. lead dust contamination), and Indoor Air Quality assessment involving the use of real time detectors and ultra trace analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds in air. PRINCIPAL OCCUPATIONAL HYGIENIST QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS: PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Mr Le Van is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) with the American Board of Industrial Hygiene, a Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH) and Full Member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (MAIOH). Dan's principal areas of expertise include workplace hazardous substances (hazard identification, risk assessment and controls), design and implementation of dust, vapours and fume monitoring programmes. Dan's experience includes sampling and measuring a wide variety of chemical and physical agents to assess employee exposure, investigation and quantitative assessment of Indoor Air Quality problems, noise survey and dosimetry, heat stress assessment, MSDS preparation and review, etc. Since joining Hibbs & Associates Pty Ltd in 1999, Mr Le Van has conducted numerous significant projects encompassing a comprehensive range of specialised occupational hygiene services. ENVIRONMENTAL AND HAZARDOUS MATERIALS CONSULTANT QUALIFICATIONS: PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Mr Fisher has carried out many hazardous materials audits of a diverse range of commercial, industrial and retail properties and has acted as Project Manager or Superintendent on a number of multi-million dollar hazardous material removal and remediation projects. Mr Fisher has been involved in environmental consulting for the previous ten years and assisted in the development of services including preliminary and detailed environmental audits, environmental compliance audits, due diligence investigations, environmental management plans, remediation action plans and site remediation works. |

His main area of expertise is with occupational noise assessments. Mr Smith has worked in the capacity of Hazardous Materials Consultant with accumulated expertise in preparation of technical specifications, document preparation and remediation of hazardous building materials. Her work experience has involved field and laboratory work for the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the Sydney University Institute for Wildlife Research, building inspections and risk management planning for a variety of properties including government and heritage listed buildings, schools and hospitals. Since joining Hibbs & Associates Pty Ltd, Ms Bannatyne has gained experience in conducting hazardous materials surveys in a broad range of commercial, industrial and residential areas, consultation and supervision of friable asbestos removal works, environmental investigations and a range of occupational hygiene monitoring, analysis and assessment. Tin worked for Environmental Risk Management Australia since April 1999 where he is mostly involved in indoor air quality assessment with technologically advanced monitoring equipment and measuring instruments as well as including hygiene inspections of air conditioning plant and equipment in buildings. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS CONSULTANT QUALIFICATIONS: PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: During this period Mr Brooks worked as a building supervisor, designer/draftsman, foreman and project manager. Further to his building experience Mr Brooks also spent nine years as a Laboratory Technician for Graincorp Pty Ltd, sampling and analyzing grain products prior to export. Ongoing training with Graincorp included, OH & S courses, First Aid, Track awareness courses and Risk Management. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS CONSULTANT QUALIFICATIONS: PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: While working for Johnson & Matthey as a Quality Control Analyst, he was able to develop commission and train staff for a new Barium flame method using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. He also implemented QC procedures for the analysis of Platinum Group metals using X-Ray Flouremetry. As a QC Chemist with Vertikote Powder Coating he was given the responsibility in Managing and maintaining the waste water treatment area, liaising with Sydney Water on a weekly basis. He also helped in the development of a new Cold Dip Galvanising plant, working with senior chemists from Dulux. Since joining Hibbs & Associates Pty Ltd, he has commenced conducting surveys of commercial, residential and industrial facilities for a range of hazardous building materials including asbestos, SMF, lead-based paints and PCB's. His strong sales and technical background will no doubt be valuable assets to his current role as an Environmental and Hazardous Materials Consultant when interfacing with clients. |

Mr Butler's duties as Laboratory Technical Officer involve testing and calibration of field and laboratory equipment, internal auditing, instrument repairs, technical assistance and analysis of samples using both stereo and phase contrast microscopy. |

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS CONSULTANT QUALIFICATIONS: PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Mr. Downes has been involved in a number of projects for clients such as local Councils, the Salvation Army Property Department and the NSW Department of Housing. These projects have required specialised applications of the Building Code of Australia in matters such as safety in glazing, fire escapes, hygiene in food preparation areas and building ventilation. He has also been involved in the preparation of energy audits and dilapidation reports for institutional and private buildings. Mr. Downes' main focus in construction for the last decade has been the replacement of less with more healthy building products and processes, particularly in residential building. Since joining Hibbs and Associates Pty Ltd, Richard has been involved in asbestos assessments and remediation, including major assessments for Comalco Aluminium Ltd Weipa, Tomago Aluminium and BHP Billiton colliery sites in the Illawarra region. Mr Downes is also trained in confined space monitoring and has conducted monitoring for several confined space entries. |
