Hazardous materials risk management audits at
24 NSW Government Buildings throughout Country NSW.
Our Involvment:
Hazardous materials identification surveys of 24 NSW Government
Buildings throughout Country NSW. The hazardous materials investigated
included asbestos and synthetic mineral fibre (SMF) containing
materials, lead based paints and electrical components containing
the class of compounds known as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB's).
The biennial re-assessments were completed in 2000.
Risk assessment of identified hazardous materials.
Prioritisation of risk assessment findings and recommendations
for remediation and management.
Recommendations regarding further investigations required.
Abandonment of underground storage tanks (both removal and abandonment
in situ) in accordance with the requirements of AS 1940-1993 "The
storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids"
and the Dangerous Act 1975 at various sites.
Organising, supervising and monitoring site remediation programmes
as required.
Preparation and implementation of Hazardous Materials Management
Programmes.
