Demolition and remediation of the former Chemplex
site located at 35 Terry Street, Rozelle.
Our Involvment:
Developing
and conducting a personal monitoring programme for employees at the
site. The purpose of the monitoring programme was to assess the
potential exposures of the employees to a range of contaminants known
to be present at the site.
- Collection and analysis of respirable and inspirable dust samples
from employees at the site. Selected samples
were further analysed for a range of heavy metals.
- Collection and analysis of personal samples for organo-chlorine
pesticides (OCP's), polychlorinated biphenyls
(PCB's) and hexachlorobenzene (HCB).
- Collection and analysis of personal samples for polynuclear aromatic
hydrocarbons (PAH's).
- Development and execution of an environmental noise monitoring
programme.
